Robert Half has partnered with a growing manufacturing and service company located in Golden, CO. As a result of growth, they are seeking to hire a staff accountant to join their finance team!
Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong general ledger skills, a deep understanding of debits and credits, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting. A degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but experience in lieu of a degree will be considered!
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash transactions to ensure proper recording and reconciliation.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Assist with audits and regulatory compliance efforts to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in financial operations.
Support special projects and initiatives as needed to drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in manufacturing or service industries (a plus).
